If it is possible to make a decent-tasting marinara sauce with tomato soup and the spice cupboard?

I’ve got pasta and chicken breasts and some garlic cloves… but no tomato stuff, except for 2 cans of tomato soup.

I must ponder… will it be a catastrophe if I do this…?

    You could thicken the soup with flour. Your result might be more of a paste than a marinara sauce…but it’d be thicker than the very thin and runny tomato soup. Add spices, etc. and good to go!

      I want to play with it – I think that if I don’t add water, it shouldn’t need a bunch of thickener. I’m precious tempted to try it… but I don’t want to end up wasting a perfectly good can of soup, either!!!
